Auditions
Out of Pocket Theatre welcomes performers of all experience levels, from first-timers to seasoned stage veterans. We believe that great theatre starts with community, and that means you belong here.
Our auditions are relaxed, friendly, and focused on creating a supportive environment. You don’t need formal training or a long résumé — just enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to play.

Roles:
Male 1: Plays Pete / Phil. Looking for an actor with warmth, sincerity, grounded humor, and strong listening skills. Should be able to handle both quiet emotional truth and gentle comedic timing.
Male 2: Plays East / Steve / Dave. Looking for an actor with versatility, confidence, and a strong sense of timing. This track benefits from someone who can balance charm, awkwardness, and emotional vulnerability.
Male 3: Plays Jimmy / Lendall / Man. Looking for an actor with strong comedic instincts and emotional depth. This track includes characters who are lovable, offbeat, tender, and deeply human.
Female 1: Plays Ginette / Marvalyn / Marci. Looking for an actor with strong comedic control, individuality, and emotional honesty. This track includes characters that range from quirky and unexpected to vulnerable and heartfelt.
Female 2: Plays Glory / Waitress / Gayle / Deena / Rhonda. Looking for an actor with excellent range, flexibility, and presence. This track moves through several very different personalities and benefits from a performer who can shift energy clearly and confidently.
Female 3: Plays Sandrine / Shelly / Hope. Looking for an actor with emotional intelligence, sincerity, and strong chemistry work. This track carries several of the play’s most intimate and tender moments.

Volunteer
Out of Pocket Theatre runs on creativity, teamwork, and community spirit. That’s why we’d love to have you join us! Whether you’re a seasoned theatre pro or brand new to the stage, there’s a place for you in our pocket.
We’re always looking for helping hands in areas like:
Front of House: greeting guests, handing out programs, and helping everyone feel welcome.
Costumes & Props: organizing, mending, and creating the magic you see on stage.
Set Construction & Painting: turning raw materials into storybook worlds.
Backstage Crew: helping with quick changes, scene shifts, and tech support.
